Complete and Partial Dentures

Complete and partial dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues.

• Complete Dentures: These are used when all teeth are missing in either the upper (maxillary) or lower (mandibular) arch, or both. Complete dentures consist of artificial teeth set in a flesh-colored acrylic base that rests directly on the gums. They provide function and aesthetics for individuals who have lost all of their natural teeth.

• Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain in the dental arch. They consist of artificial teeth attached to a metal or acrylic framework that clasps onto remaining natural teeth for support. Partial dentures fill in the gaps left by missing teeth, restoring function and appearance while preventing neighboring teeth from shifting.

Both types of dentures are custom-made to fit each patient's mouth comfortably and securely, allowing for improved chewing ability, speech, and appearance.
